Microsys Multi-Industry Trade Fair Enjoys Immense Significance

Frickenhausen, 29 March 2005. Microsystems technology and ultra-precision manufacturing are considered key technologies. And the MICROSYS convention trade fair is thus of great economic significance, for the future as well. Due to the fact that it’s a multi-industry event, it provides suppliers and users with a unique information and procurement platform. With their initiative for MICROSYS, which will take place at the Sinsheim Exhibition Centre for the second time from the 26th through the 29th of April, 2005, leading private trade fair promoters P. E. Schall GmbH are once again underscoring their innovative efforts targeted at bringing significant trade fair topics to the market which are full of promise for the future.

Although competition in the trade fair market is extremely tough, trade fair promoter Paul Eberhard Schall succeeds again and again in surprising insiders with innovative new event topics. As managing director of P.E. Schall GmbH, leading private trade fair promoters, he has decided to take the initiative for MICROSYS because key technologies like microsystems technology, ultra-precision manufacturing, mechatronic devices and all technologies based upon miniature structures are gaining more and more significance in the 21st century, and are quickly evolving into a million € market. Micro, nano, opto – upon the basis of practical benefits for users from all industry sectors, the corresponding R&D and manufacturing technologies represent highly lucrative business opportunities, and MICROSYS in Sinsheim is the ideal information and procurement centre for this market.

The MICROSYS convention trade fair will take place for the second time at the Sinsheim Exhibition Centre from the 26th through the 29th of April, 2005 – at the same time as CONTROL, international trade fair for quality assurance. This ideal combination will generate far-reaching synergies from which exhibitors and visitors alike will profit, because many CONTROL exhibitors are users of microsystems components such as sensors, mechanical pushbuttons and much more.

Project manager Susanne Fuchs directly perceives the industry’s acceptance of MICROSYS. Exhibition floor space has more than doubled since last year’s event. Exhibitors participating at the 2nd MICROSYS will present their products and services in pavilion 5. They welcome the comprehensive nomenclature encompassed by MICROSYS, which not only covers production of microsystems components and assemblies, but rather represents the complete process sequence for microsystems technology in a comprehensive fashion.

Amongst other topics, the event will emphasise parts production by means of ultra-precision manufacturing, as well as micro injection moulding. Offerings cover all relevant industry sectors from engineering, tool and mould making, precision engineered plastic parts and module and device assembly, right on up to quality assurance and services.

Extensive and highly informative supporting and supplementary programs expand upon the subject matter of the convention trade fair, and unite theory with practice. For example, the NC Society from Ulm, Germany, will once again enter into partnership with the 2nd convention trade fair for microsystems technology (MST) and ultra-precision manufacturing (UPM). The society will present a “UPM” special show, and will lead the “micro injection moulding” symposium. Expert presentations held by various institutes – including the Fraunhofer Institute and various research centres, right on up to technical universities from inside and outside of Germany – are user and practice oriented. MICROSYS exhibitors will report on their own company know-how at the forum, as well as the latest innovations from the world of microsystems technology and ultra-precision manufacturing. Last but not least, MICROSYS will open the way for further developments involving microsystems technology and ultra-precision manufacturing in a variety of industries at a special show entitled “Practice and Vision”.
