Microsys – the Process Sequence Trade Fair for Micro and Nano-Technology

Microsys

The Microsys trade fair for micro and nano-technology will open its fifth round at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre from the 8th through the 11th of October, 2012.

Microsys – the Trade Fair Within the Market

The successful relaunch of the Microsys trade fair for micro and nano-technology in R&D, production and applications engineering at its venue in Stuttgart has demonstrated that exhibitors and visitors perceive an urgent need for a specialised trade fair covering micro-technology in the catchment area spanning Southern Germany and Switzerland, where a large percentage of the suppliers and users are located.

In order to fulfil the requirements of Microsys exhibitors as well as possible, trade fair promoters P.E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG are joining forces with the institutions who are also actively involved with microsystems technology. And thus Microsys has been promoted since 2010 as an independent trade fair held every other year in alternation with the Microsystems Technology Convention in Darmstadt. In the years during which the convention take place, Microsys disseminates information as a “Microsystems Technology” theme park within the framework of MOTEK, the leading international trade fair for handling, assembly and automation technology.

Microsys – a New Type of Process Sequence Trade Fair

According to this schedule, Microsys will be promoted as an independent trade fair again in 2012. The concurrently held MOTEK, as well as the BONDexpo trade fair for industrial bonding technology, provide an ideal setting for Microsys and offer valuable synergies.

The newly structured 5th Microsys will emphasise the future oriented issues of mechatronics, precision mechanics, microsystems and nano-technology, as well as microelectronics. And thus, thanks to its interdisciplinary approach, the event embodies a highly promising process sequence trade fair which is entirely unique within the industry in its current form. The individual fields of design engineering, material selection, production, test technology and assembly of prototypes, right on up to series manufacturing, will be presented in a highly practical, target group oriented fashion.

Title: Microsys – Exhibitor and Expert Visitor Target Groups

All manufacturers and suppliers of technologies, products and processes, as well as production, assembly and test equipment, which are explicitly suitable for the process sequence covering engineering, material selection, manufacturing, test technology and assembly for mechatronic, precision mechanical, microsystems and microelectronic technologies, are targeted around the world. Exhibitor/participant target groups also include universities with specially oriented training and research facilities, interest groups and research institutes, public and private institutions, as well as clusters and industry organisations which deal with these demanding issues.

The Microsys visitor target-group includes researchers, product developers and R&D engineers, as well as production, QA and procurement managers from service providers and user operations and facilities. Due to the fact that microsystems technology and nano-technology will be the central thread which runs through all developing and/or manufacturing companies as an essential, multi-divisional task in the future, this field of endeavour harbours enormous potential for investment, which will surely continue to grow in the future.
